About the Event

It has been 2.5 years since the outbreak of COVID-19. Building on the ANZCham Taipei Webinar series on COVID-19 two years ago, this webinar will explore the risks and opportunities on Asia's path to recovery.

After an unprecedented 2021, this year will be a critical one for global markets. The post-COVID landscape is one of rapid technological change, a transformational shakeup of global trading orthodoxy and an increasing focus on sustainable business.

Together with ANZ, we aim to help our members put themselves in the best possible position to take advantage of these forces. ANZCham Taipei is honored to invite Mr. Khoon Goh, Head of Asia Research at ANZ Banking Group to share some of thier insights on Asia's Post-Pandemic Economic Outlook.

About the Speaker

Khoon Goh

Khoon is the Head of Asia Research at ANZ, based in Singapore. He oversees and co-ordinates the Asia economics and strategy research functions.

Previously, he was ANZ's senior FX strategist for Asia (excluding Japan) and was responsible for managing the FX Strategy team in Singapore, producing research on Asian currencies and formulating FX strategies for corporate and investor clients. The Asia FX Strategy team has established themselves as a quality research house with ANZ ranked in the top two for FX Research and Market Coverage as voted by financial institutions in the AsiaMoney FX Poll in the last three years (2013 to 2015). ANZ was also the top EM Asia FX forecaster in 2015 as ranked by Bloomberg and Reuters.

Prior to his current Singapore based role, Khoon was a key member of the New Zealand research team at ANZ covering financial markets.  Khoon has over 15 years of experience working in various economic and strategy roles across both the public and private sectors. He was the Manager in charge of the New Zealand Treasury's Macroeconomic Forecasting Team, and was responsible for producing the official government forecasts that underpin the Budget and key policy decisions.
