Niro Somasekeran, Head of Resources, Energy and Infrastructure, International, ANZ Bank

Niro has significant international banking and finance experience across a range of services including mergers & acquisitions, capital markets advisory, project finance, debt capital markets, risk management and trade.  

He spent several years working within the Corporate Finance division of KPMG before fulfilling a number of leadership roles at ANZ across both coverage and product specialist teams.

In his current role, Niro has responsibility for managing and overseeing ANZ’s relationship with metals and mining, energy, commodity trading, utility and infrastructure clients across ANZ’s international network outside of Australia and New Zealand.  

In addition, Niro leads ANZ’s Corporate Finance business for South & South East Asia across all industry segments.  This business includes capability across project finance, export finance, asset finance, loan syndications and acquisition finance.

Alfred Bae, Head of Tech & Auto, International, ANZ Bank

Alfred Bae is the Head of Tech & Auto, International appointed in September 2023 and has over 16 years of corporate banking experience across Asia and New

Zealand.

As the Head of Tech & Auto, International he is responsible for leading the industry sector strategy as well as sponsoring strategic relationships across ANZ

network. Alfred leads a team of coverage bankers across China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and US.

Prior to re-locating to ANZ Hong Kong in 2023, Alfred held a variety of Client Coverage, Business Management and Credit Analysis roles across Corporate and

Institutional Business since joining ANZ in 2008.

Alfred holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Auckland, New Zealand. Alfred is a Korean Born New Zealand Citizen.
