ANZCham is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Lio as the new Executive Director of the Chamber.
A new year comes along with new beginnings. For ANZCham, we welcomed our new Executive Director Glenn Lio this Lunar New Year.
Glenn was born in Taiwan, grew up in the US and China, and also studied in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and Sweden. Since returning to Taiwan in 2018, Glenn has been working in outreach, communication, and events with international chambers and government agencies.
Through these experiences, he has worked on projects from organizing ministerial summits, trade shows, banquets, business panels and delegations, to public diplomacy and other cultural promotion events. Apart from event planning, he has also worked with policy research and developing communication campaigns.
Prior to joining ANZCham, he was working at the Ministry of Science and Technology Center for Global Affairs and Science Engagement (MOST GASE) to help promote Taiwan’s Science and Technology capacity and international partnerships. He also served as a Board Director of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei (SCCT).
Glenn holds a Bachelor's degree in International Politics from Michigan State University in the US and a Master's degree in Management from Lund University in Sweden. He also lived in Sydney, Australia for a year and studied Australia and New Zealand's government and justice system at UNSW Sydney.
